The lower levels of the code were self contained
This kept the interactions amongst modules clear and well documented. We changed the UML first then the code

I guess you mean from machine code back to UML?
That is what if its a UML compiler not a preprocessor of some type?
Allowing round tripping means a preconcieved idea that there is an intermediate language
Personnally I'd say if UML is the design language and you can get to the application then all the intermediate stuff is black box level. ie I don't want to see it
Which is what people do. Which is why the companies want to do something about it. If people stop playing then they don't make as much money. I like playing I don't like the grief.

Gee I'm offshore and I've read the book. I musn't of understood it. Any statement like "group of" is prejudiced and so probably wrong
Any indication of where it is, is obviously a red-herring planted by "them".
