  2. ...the attack came from a .mil IP? All the article says is that it came from "a US military installation". That could mean the attacker was actually some kid whose dad is stationed on an Army base in Nevada.

    no, but if you get that kind of ionization in the air, then you are also getting MASSIVE amounts of higher energy (invisible) radiation.

    Japan has a large population and a tiny surface area. You live on earth, earth is bombarded by ultraviolet radiation from the sun, UV radiation causes skin cancer...if you get skin cancer you deserve what you get.

    Nuclear reactions give off very high energy radiations, and blue (actually violet) is the highest enegry wavelength of visible light. If they saw a blue light, then they are going to be some very sick puppies....

    We just called NSI and they say someone went in and created accounts from the whois list and gave them all the "joe" passwords.... According to NSI you have to go in and actually create your own account, it is not pregenerated. But I don't see how one person would create accounts for everyone on the whois list....

Covering up the Linux PPC/windoze 2000 fiasco, keeping Redhat's stunning debut from being a top story, and now this Hotmail thing... If we hear anything about it at all, I can see the news clip now,"Hotmail.com was ruthlessly hacked today by renegade Linux users (believed to be associated with the renegade web site slashdot.org). Only lighting quick responses my Microsoft (and particularly Bill Gates himself) prevented a major security brech for millions of users."
