Intuitivly, it seems like rates should be falling per byte transmitted not rising.
We need this to happen to stimulate new data hungry services like video and audio on demand. When pricing falls to some arbitrarily low level, it becomes easier for the consumer to pay for steaming content rather than to pirate it.
The 1% of heavy users mentioned above is the future of broadband, not a group to be snuffed out.
Where's the log jam? Why is bandwidth so damned expensive? Can someone with a *real* clue help out here?
