Well, if it's open-source Java/J2EE tools you're after, there's JBoss, Jetty, Tomcat, Struts, Ant, Resin and a soon-to-be-released open-source JDK from the Apache group. Personally, I love JBoss. It's very powerful, easy to use and is completely cross-platform (i.e. no native code).
