...that the "up to date" program will once again entail the trading in of a mac os X 10.1 coupon for an upgrade to Jaguar for $19.95. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong (as if I need to say that here), but isn't that what they did for 10.1? I could've sworn that 10.1 was available for $19.95 when you used a 10.0 coupon.
Pleaseopleaseoplease let it be so. Otherwise I'm hosed for a while. $129 for a "new" OS isn't in the budget just now.
I worked for a mid-sized (now quite small), fairly notorious.com. The people running the show knew NOTHING about technology (let alone simple macroeconomics), and damn near killed the company.
So after losting my job thanks to poor business decisions, I find myself subcontracting for a "consulting" company. Current project: build an online accounting webapp for a client whose clients wish to keep track of outstanding invoices and purchase orders online. Simple stuff. Too bad it's taken six months to reach beta. Why? BECAUSE THE PROJECT MANAGER DOESN'T KNOW JACK SCHITT ABOUT TECHNOLOGY.
My point? Sadly, this seems to be the norm, and I have yet to find a way around it.
