  1. PC version stinks and what about a MMORPG on Star Trek Legacy Review · · Score: 1

Like a fool I got Legacy for the PC. Yes, I am jonesing for some Trek, so I picked it up. Sucks. I bought an Xbox 360 controller to play it, and it still sucks. The controls are unusable and the space battles make no sense -- the AI is moronic at best and you have to love a space sim where you BOUNCE off solid objects. Anyway, what about a Trek MMORPG. Think of the base of players you would have right off the bat. You have the class system already set up (Command, Medic, Engineer, Communication and Red Shirt) and quests would lend themselves more to the Trek style than these big fighter Trek games. Just a thought... now all I need is to learn how to program and $15 million in development costs. :)

  2. HDTV on FCC Mandates Digital Tuners · · Score: 1

I have one. It is great. Is it worth the $1,000,000 I paid for it. Um, no. Especially since right now the only shows that are in HD are "The Mark Cuban Show" and "Chicago by air" on HDNet. Chicago by air is great, there is so much clarity you can actually see people getting mugged as the helicopter flies over. Very nice.

  3. I wonder on Ziff Davis Teeters · · Score: 1

How many of these laid off ZD folks will end up in the PR department of Microsoft writing press releases and "product reviews" for the remaining ZD publications. A company that uses the tactics they employ for subscriptions should go out of business. Subscribe once and let your subscription lapse and you can expect "late notices" -- even tho you are not recieving the magazine anymore -- for the rest of your life. Their product "reviews" were the worse example of yellow journalism I have seen in several decades. Chacal

  4. What is important? on Pledge of Allegiance Ruled Unconstitutional · · Score: 1

Everyone who is pissed off that we are spending tax dollars on something as trivial as the constitutionality of the "Pledge of Allegiance" raise their hand.

While Congress takes away our rights and the DMCA remains on the books, (don't even get me started on the bill suggesting it is OK for media companies to DOS Kazaa, et. al) we have our courts tied up with this kind of foolishness.

Why just attack the GOD question? Hmmm? What about a lawsuit questioning whether it is constitutional to have children even pledge their allegiance when they are minors?

This is a petty issue that is taking time and resources away from issues that are far more important. It is a shame that someone from this guys school district didn't just take him aside and say -- here is your voucher go to a different school asshole.

    Sigh.
