The founding fathers of our country were wise to include the amendment separating church and state, but some in our government have lost sight of this and will attack those who disagree in the name of national unity. They are wrong.
Our country was founded on the principles of religious freedom, and that freedom also includes freedom from religion if the person so chooses. Religion should be a private matter, between the person and his/her god/gods. The moment it's pushed on us in the public domain, we begin to lose our freedom to choose, because others put pressure on us to think a certain way.
