Clothings are difficult to copy but not that difficult. But I think the most important difference between Fashion and Software market is that the border guard and law enforcement service can do something about the Fashion copies distribution.

Absolutely, Proof of theorem should be on Wikipedia, but not on the same page as the theorem.
Actually, 1 page per proof should be good and clear.

I work on a soft that we release periodically. It take about 2 weeks to test and validate. So, the shortest period between 2 release is about 1 month. That is the normal bullet-proof release delay.
Sometimes our customer and sponsor asks for a special new feature very important, and wish to have it released tomorrow.
First, we schedule a meeting to have the feature explains in detail - half of the request end here as our soft is heavily configurable and we find a way to do about the same thing with the current version or at least help the customer enough for him to wait the next official release.
Next, if we have to develop something, we explain that we will do the best possible but that we can't validate the soft so there is a regression risk. This is done during a meeting where one of us explain in detail what changements are involved by the patch and where the risk is pricesly. Half of the request end here with a "no go" as the sponsor think the risk is too high.
For all the other case, we develop something very quickly and the result can be anywhere from very good to very bad and this depends only on the developer skills.

  5. Anyway, there is a problem on Governing the Internet Report Released · · Score: 1

Internet is more and more an international network. It's a fact that the network was created and develloped in the US in the early age. So, it's natural that the US creates the ICANN to rule the distribution of domain name and ip address.

Today, the network is not anymore 100% US. A big part of it is owned by other countries and some companies. And every one of them help to maintain and distribute the domain name list. So the real problem is why, when somebody paid $10 to buy a .com domain name for a year, those counties and companies that made the network today don't see the color of this money ?
