I'm a big OSS fan as well, and administer Windows Servers. I also use every single platform I can get my hands on. I found from experience it can be more difficult to install most OSS Apps on windows than on what they were natively written for. A true geek can use whatever they are given.
But back to the point at hand.. MySQL and Postgres runs perfectly fine on Windows. I've been running it in production for about 4 years.
I used DotNetNuke for a few years and recently switched away from it. I prefer applications that run cross platform particularly since I work in a enviroment that contains Linux, Unix, Windows and Mac. I hate to have to switch to different applications when I switch enviroments.
DotNetNuke does run on Linux using Mono, and in fact can be seen doing so at http://dev.mainsoft.com/. I ceratinaly think they have done an excellent job on the application. I used it since version 1.0 and the iBuySpy days. The reason I switched was due to the fact that most of the modules that I wanted to use were closed source (private assembly) and I had to be purchased through http://snowcovered.com./ I found this extremely annoying that only a few developers wished to contribute open source modules back to the project. I think this is it's biggest failing; the developers themselves.
I found NTBugtraq as a nice resource for those brave enough to take the plunge right away. I would suggest joining the listserv and checking out the archives online at http://www.ntbugtraq.com/
I've been very pleased with our Xerox 7300DN. The print quality is excellent for business, but if you need higher end production quality the Xerox 7700DN is great. It was a little pricey for us. You can call or fill out a form online for them to send you print samples.
We had a few Epson printers and found their quality to be unsurpassed; however they were a support nightmare. I wouldn't reccomend them for high volume. For proofing they are excellent.
As far as HP I only been happy with their large format printers (aka plotters). We keep finding problems with printing postscript 3 documents to most of their product line. We have a great MAC following in the office, and continually get stacks of postscript garbage even when we tell them not to print anything with postscript 3. As long as they don't do PS 3 emulation you'll be good.
and just because you can don't mean you should. It's never a good idea to mix languages on any project. Try to explain this to a programmer.

SANS has a site as well at http://isc.sans.org/xpsp2.php with user experiences. It looks like most the problems are the usual 3rd party firewall and VPN products breaking, and miscellaneous hardware issues. Though this one might be an issue for some corporate users http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb
