The link you posted that supposed explains how "a Microsoft Security Update really did shut down a nuclear reactor" doesn't even mention Microsoft. It explains that the shut down was caused by some "software update." There is nothing in the article that suggests that the update had anything to do with Microsoft.
Not that this will likely justify the name to you, but he DOES give a reasonable explanation for it:
This program is called MoleSter because it's small and furtive, like a mole, and "-ster" is a traditional suffix for filesharing programs. It rhymes with "pollster"; don't pronounce it as three syllables.
Can somebody explain why this deserves a post to/.? Don't companies announce new games all the time? And don't most of those new games just flop?
Or does everybody know something about this that I don't?
I apologize for whining. But I don't want to see this section get trampled with unnecessary and lame game announcements. I figure that since this is a relatively new section some offtopic input isn't completely destructive.
So 30 years after gaining a copyright, it'll cost you $30 billion to keep. And then the next year it'll cost you $150 billion. I think we should avoid exponential functions in this case.
Is there any way I'll be able to download degrees from these Universities?:)
In all seriousness, though, this is a great idea. I think serious prospective students might find it easier to choose one of these Universities since they'll have a better idea of just what they'd learn in their programs.
I know this doesn't solve the problem of actually blocking telemarketers from calling you BUT. . .
I find that when a telemarketer calls there's a ~1 second pause before they pick up the phone. If I hear that pause I just hang up right away! It makes me feel like I'm giving it to The Man! And it makes those telemarketing calls much more enjoyable. . . it's almost a game, really!

Astroturfing
The term is wordplay based on "grassroots" efforts, which are truly spontaneous undertakings.
The Fatback Band have been sampled or covered more than 80 times by acts ranging from Monica to Fatboy Slim to Everlast.
IANAMusician, but it seems like it could be possible that this bass riff is considered "commonplace" only because it has been sampled in many songs.
