The intel fortran compiler (ifc) is great. It's free and beats the crap out of g77. Why doesn't g77 print the same number of digits for single and double precision variables? The point is a good compiler should behave as expected and ifc is one of the best fortran compilers I have seen in my twelve years of fortran programming.
