    I believe the main problem is that there is a bug in the 400 mhz xScale processor. As a result, it runs at about half speed.

    Extremely so, since there is a bug that make it run at only around 200 Mhz instead of the 400 it is rated at. It current tests, it is slightly slower that the 5500.
