I have read plenty of reviews on the options that both the xbox 360, Wii, and playstation 3 have to offer. No offense, but I dont really care if I can listent to music while I play, i have a stereo. I can live with download times, thats when i drink my beer, etc. The reason I bought a playstion over nintendo was the game selection. Playstation 2 over xbox or gamecube.... game selection. If the playstation 3 brings me more and better games to choose from than the xbox 360 and Wii, thats what I will "eventually" buy. I have my cpu to keep me happy until I see how this goes, but at this point im going to wait to see if the PS3 pans out before I choose one of these systems. They have done me right twice already... I can wait a few months to see if they do me right again.
many parents have become so phobic about them that they don't take their kids to the park anymore.
I come from a small town in Mass where, when I was growing up, you didnt lock your doors to your house or car. Now my parents lock the door to the house while they are home. Its not out of paranoia, there has been home invasion incidents on my street in recent years, bank robberies downtown (which is one city block), etc. Since moving to california, ive had a person attempt to rob my home in the wee hours of the mornin and there is an amber alert on the freeways to catch people kidnapping children. Its not paranoia when it happens all the time. While I have no children myself, I understand the parents viewpoint of a child being safer sitting in front of the cpu/tv then being outside with the freaks, criminals, pedophiles, etc.
Dont do the crime if you cant do the time. This includes the prejudices that carry on after you have paid you "debt to society". Either be smart enough not to get caught or dont break the rules in the first place. Grade school teaches you that. Nothing worse than a criminal whining that he doesnt get an honest break. There is always room for landscapers or burger flippers.
