  1. Hey BBC, I WANT to pay your damn license fee! on US Viewers Using Proxies To Watch BBC Olympic Coverage · · Score: 4, Interesting

Hey BBC, I WANT to pay your damn license fee! Figure out a way to let me! Hell, even without the Olympics, I bet there are a lot of US folks who would be willing to fork over the license fee for Top Gear and Formula One coverage alone. There are also British Ex-Pats all over the world who would probably be willing to pay. Not that difficult, set up a separate web site, restofthedamworld.bbc.co.uk as a subscription site, that either proxies to the existing streaming infrastructure or mirrors it. Hell, contract with Netflix to administer it for you, they seemed to have figured it out. If not, piracy will continue to be the only option.

In the US at least is that there is no incentive. Neither of the 2 players, Westinghouse and GE, are making reactors right now (nor for the foreseeable future due to regulatory climate and NIMBY whiners), but they are making a bunch of money making and selling fuel for existing reactors.

Or use a different type of reactor that doesn't rely on electricity for cooling. See any of Kirk Sorensen's liquid-fluoride thorium reactor talks on YouTube. His talk at Ted is a good 10,000 overview and only 10 minutes long: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2vzotsvvkw

I was trying to call Comcast once because the evidently cancelled my automatic billing and were now going to disconnect my internet service. When I called and the automated menu hell prompts started, I said "billing" The system replied "Sorry, I didn't get that" I let out an exasperated "Fuck". The system responded "I understand you want to talk to Billing, if this is correct, press 1" Pretty damn cool.

Could someone explain what the AMA has to do with video games?

Shouldn't they be off practicing medicine?
