    There were and are hundreds of good reasons to go into Iraq. When we went in, the one at the top of the list was that Sadaam Hussein had not proven that he had destroyed his WMDs, so we went with that one. Whether he actually destroyed them or not was not the issue, he was playing shell games. Moving (what we now know were empty) truck convoys from one site to another, and then allowing the site the truck convoy had just left to be inspected while moving the destination site onto the offlimits list, is just one example of his "co-operation".

    And if you had paid attention you would have noticed that Abraham was confident that his son would be returning alive with him, one way or the other, even if he didn't know exactly how. Further given the context the best estimate for the age of the son is 14-20.

    PLEASE DO NOT BRING OR SEND ANY MORE CLOTHES OR SHOES. THERE ARE ROTTING PILES OF SHOES AND CLOTHES EVERYWHERE.

    Seriously, tools and money are most needed by residents. Food is useful, but not necessary. Shortages of food are bizarre and random, for example American cheese and DR Pepper.

    Or you could just bring in enough water and fuel for the time you intend to be in the "zone" for the last 2+ weeks I've been running in and out managing my personal affairs and working in my residence, with and without help, as appropriate. And hydration, comfortable shoes, fuel to get out, and disease barriers are the most appropriate items.

    If you are working around mold, go ahead and shell out the $40 to get a proper ventilator that has a charcoal filter to handle mold etc. surgical/dust type "masks" won't keep the mold out for long.

    these do and they are very comfortable. Get GOOD boot socks. They will raise your shoe size about 1/2, but your feet will thank you.

    The house does always win, they want to win MORE. So, for every 5 solo counters over 12 hours that cancels out 2 non-counters. NOT A BIG DEAL

    OTOH, for every 5 man team of counters over 12 hours that cancels out 50-100 noncounters... This is a big deal and these are the people they don't want back.

    Just use a Handheld RFID scanner as you walk past someone with a bucket full. Then use your handheld programmer to rewrite the blank fake RFID chips in your bucket.

    It was mentioned on the History Channel documentary, first that the "famous" MIT blackjack team wasn't the first, last, only or winningest. Other than that documentary, no.

    The casino edge on craps is almost 12%. The only play where this is different is the Pass/don't pass bet where the edge is "only" 1.3%.

    Actually a casino's purpose is selling "FUN" and part of that fun involves winning. So someone playing and winning big during busy hours is an asset, ESPECIALLY if that person induces "suckers" to play big. OTOH counters tend to play at slightly "off" times and try to be discreet in order to maximize their paycheck. Why do you think sirens and bells and whistles and streamers show up when someone hits a big jackpot on any of the jackpot games?

    That is approximately the way it is supposed to work, since the gaming commission still makes tons of money fining casinos I'm guessing it still works ~that way.

    and of course correctly using "basic strategy" reduces the casino's take from ~10% to ~1%

    And yet the MIT team keeps raking the cash in. Contrary to popular mis-information, they haven't gone away. They still recruit freshmen.
