*Closing school for x-mas break to save money,
*will layoff 250 people early next year,
*hiring and salary increase freezes
*they have lost $1 billion dollars in their endowment the last 2-3 years.....
*anyone note F2003 they combined LCS and AI labs?
Cost savings are on their mind for everything unfortunately....off-the-shelf software makes sense...companies hang around to maintain and students leave(ie graduate)
Duhhh.....Popular music is fundamentally a business like any other economic activity. You deliver the value,product or service..if you like it...you pay for it. If no one buys it does not continue to get created/produced...Pretty basic..Though it took dot.com owners 4 years and billions of wasted dollars to figure that out(ie, software solutions looking for problems to solve)

What is MIT selling...degrees right? .You can't get one if you do not pony-up the money..read all the crap you want online you do not get a degree
