It's comforting for someone in the third world, that too in an isolated place, to know that all that matters is how much code you read, and how much you write. I've always felt at the back of my mind that all the fancy schools can't *teach* you programming, but lacking experience, never said it aloud.
The article is ofcourse very good. Infact, anything written by that guy is good. But, I'm surprised. People didn't know about this ? The article was written on July 2, 1999. There are many references to it on the net. I thought/. was a news site ?

Sadly in most Indian University systems you don't get to "take" courses. You just study whatever is forced down your throat. Sigh. Time to study
