So many theories exist on the downfall of the Mayans, but one prominent theory has always been their perfection of corn (this is already a flawed analogy, seeing as Microsoft has most certainly not perfected the OS market).
However, the corn was then susceptible to one virus that could have killed nearly all the corn.
With one OS dictating the market's every move, it only takes one virus to render the world useless.
Maybe he wouldn't need a survival kit if he ran Mac OS X....
Okay, okay, I'm just kidding; Mac OS X has just as many quirks (currently, I can't press the escape or delete keys). In either case, those two CDs have bailed out my Macs on more than one occasion, with either a permission repair or a repair installation to return to "productivity" sans bugs.
Don't you mean "deity" and not "diety"? Unless, of course, you are insinuating that Microsoft is dieting in terms of their software production, and is therefore an anemic company; not that one wouldn't imply this based on Microsoft Word's performance.
Actually, it's more of a "nobody cares if we have high prices" thing. There is too little competition with too little initiative to lower prices. Even if demand skyrocketed, it would be competition that would lower prices.

Can't one simply go to Amazon.com to get reviews and ratings? IMDb is a great and magnificently large site, but Amazon.com does virtually the same thing, only with more of a commercial twist.
Unless the new books website is large enough, I just see no reason for the endeavour, and I'll keep on visiting Amazon.com for my reviews.
(not that Amazon.com is the only site that does reviews)
What's the point? DVDs and CDs are, as far as I can tell, the best way to backup data. I've been backing up data for years, and tape drives are slow, relatively expensive, and provide little protection against time.
Well, July 14th plus nine months equals 1966. Remember, it takes a while to get to there (unless, of course, those dates are the ddates when they flew by).
It's funny to see /.ers trying to make jokes out of the name "Ive"....
" 'Ive' got a good idea! "
Haha, yippee, I'm crying from laughter.
Damn karma whores.

You just know that Microsoft is going to use this as an excuse for Windows vulnerabilities.
"Yes, that blue screen that you're seeing is actually what is known as a 'flash attack' that is becomming so common...."
So that you can take all the child porn for yourself?
Finally something useful! I bet it even keep things cool when you want them to. Oh the possibilities....
It seems so easy in retrospect; if only I could reach that escape key......

Just my two Mac OS X 10.2 CDs.

George Foreman! Pshah! Jimmy Dean Sausages. Now that's a winner.

It looks like they're off to a great start.
Their site is almost as bad as their service.
I've seen this on multiple occasions, actually. Exactly why this is the case, ask Taco.

The Extremely Fat Females? I love that site!
I own the PHP Bible (not the newest one), so here's a question: what reasons would you give me for buying this book and ditching the PHP Bible?
Now I can get fat twice over.

Lord of the Rings blows.
So, it's just dying out there? And what about our other "deep-space" probes? Yep, on the death bed.
So, using rice_web's ingenious stupidity, I've come up with:
(1) Send a new probe to follow our dying probes and act as a relay for the information.
(2) Just completely start over and get new probes up and running, and moving more quickly than our dying probes.
Okay, I just wasn't sure.
Perhaps it actually was evidence from 1965, as opposed to the 1966 that the story says--it wouldn't be the first editing error.
