  1. Re:Due Diligence on Free Wireless Band Gets FCC OK · · Score: 1

And then there's the track record of these 'tests'. Remember BPL? The carriers and the FCC BOTH claimed that there was no interference to any of the radio bands, until the Amateur Radio community proved them wrong. Time will tell, a live test environment is a good way to test, but even then there are conditions that occur in some areas that do not occur in others, so a live test environment is only a start.

  2. Re:Yeah right. on A Year In Prison For a 20-Second Film Clip? · · Score: 1

Considering the response time of police departments, I seriously doubt 'It was probably the first 20 seconds, then they got caught' Even if the response was immediate, it would probably have taken them at least 5 minutes to get there, travel time, making their way through the theater, finding the people, etc.

  3. Re:We've heard that before. on Intel - Market Doesn't Need Eight Cores · · Score: 1

I seem to recall ole Billy Boy saying something similar awhile back about memory, then there were the naysayers who said the sound barrier could never be broken.... the list goes on and on. Need? Most of the things we have today we don't really NEED, but that doesn't and hasn't stopped us from aquiring them.
