Moderators, the parent is really insightfull. All those who used and loved Enlightenment know "Expose like features" for man years now. Man, what I would love heavy development in Enlightenment!

Let me explain. I'm the admin in my office, and I have 8 computers - X terminals running from an Athlon 1,2 gigs, with 500 Mb Ram. They use daily OpenOffice, Mozilla, Konqueror, Kmail, and it works for them very well. They needed an hour to adapt, also to the notion that they can switch computers and still get their datas in the same place:)
Another example is that of another computer in my office, which runs Win98 and was extremly lagging in startup times of Winword and Explorer, deleting files, etc. I had to go into BIOS and adjust some things and now it works fine.
My point is, your computer should do just fine. If it doesn't, you're doing something wrong.

may I mention XSI, Maya, Houdini as examples of strong comercial applications? (of course Mac has a lot more in this area)
