By your definition, sand is a liquid which it is clearly not. You can not use the property of viscosity alone as an indicator of whether something is a liquid or not.
freshman chemistry doesn't teach you all the things you know. i would know because I'm taking honours chemistry 3rd year. The stuff you learn in first year chem is just enough to get the other science students familiar with the material.
