    There is a serious problem to be considered. Obama is driving honorable people out of the military and replacing them with his own sycophants. Due to Obama, there are at the highest levels of the military, leaders who would cheerfully attack Americans or portions of their own troops.

    You are ignorant, a liar, or both. I've looked at photos of 3 of the 4 Kent State killed students, all three were white. I found no photo of the 4th. The protest that led up to the shooting was an anti-Vietnam-War event; race was not involved. Seldom mentioned is the fact that the shots started after students threw stones at the National Guardsmen.

    It's well established that compared to a normal curve, IQs have en extended tail. Furthermore, the lowest possible IQ is zero, whereas a normal curve has no lower limit.

    You have just failed this math test. It is most likely that the average IQ will fall between the nearest <= and the nearest >= IQ score. If the number of people taking IQ tests is prime, the chance of a person having an exactly average IQ is extremely small.

    A quick internet search reveals that castering landing gear is mostly limited to light aircraft nose wheel, however it was used in the B24 and B25 (but I may be mistaken).

    Capitalism allows the unrestricted exchange of things, including those things necessary for human life, between human beings. That statement can be made of no other economic system. Capitalism is more inherently humane than any other system.

    Corporations - those with publicly held stock (ownership) - are a method for funding large activities and protecting those among the owners who have no control over the corporation's actions. Those who run corporations can and have been sent to prison for illegal activities.

    "State Capitalism" is an oxymoron. A state monopoly on business prevents the freedom that must necessarily coexist with capitalism.

    Eastern US forests have about 50 to 100 tons of life per acre. The Sahara, small regions around oases excepted, would be lucky to break a ton per acre. The intense sun and lack of water are deadly; shielding a lot of the land from the sun is likely to promote life.

    It is difficult to predict the climate affects of changed albedo, but at first glance reducing re-radiation into space in one area should cause (gack) global warming.

    The best efficiency available from thermal-solar is about 31%.(ahref=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_thermal_energyrel=url2html-13625https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...>) That means that 69% remains at the site.

    How errors in a text configuration file are handled depend on the programs that use the file. The program can use the file in a robust manner or in a fragile manner, it's up the the programmer.

    Try doing something even moderately sophisticated in either Photoshop or gimp, without a manual or prior knowledge. What the hell is a channel? A path? A layer?

    It's not necessarily a defect of the software. Some ideas and procedures are too inherently complicated to be handled by a newbie without a lot of difficulty.

  19. Variations are easy. Use different fonts. Replace the plus sign with a Maltese Cross. Replace the minus sign with an underscore or an equal sign. Use up and down arrows. Use colors. Spell out minus and plus, or use words like more, less, big, tiny, fast, slow, high, low, etc.

    Cars don't often jump fences, which makes them less effective for attacking critical government facilities. Still, car bombs have been used many times.

    I know it's popular not to read the article, and many don't even read the summary. Can't you even read the title?. This is a ban for the D.C. area, so the concern is obviously an attack on the center of national government, not bird-strike-equivalents.

    Where is the cop on the beat going to draw the line between a large hobbyist drone and an RPG or a small cruise missile? How is he going to detect a .22 calibre pistol mounted to a medium sized drone, headed for the White House?

    If some major government official were assassinated by a drone-pistol, Slashdot clowns would be the first to scream "It was obvious this was going to happen! Why didn't anybody do anything?! Can't anybody in government see the implications of technology?!"
