So everyone had a device that was fully capable of being bluetooth enabled, but they didn't know it because Apple disabled it and only gave it to you when you paid ten dollars for an upgrade. The Bluetooth chip wasn't just sitting there being unused either, it was what they ran their Nike sports platform on.
