i think you're making a good point, but i would have to disagree with you on the whole porn thing. i have no problem paying for porn... actually i feel pretty good about it. also, there are plenty of "actresses" in the porn industry (gosh, isn't aria giovanni talented.) who deserve to be paid, far more than say, britney spears or any of the other commercialised pop music "artists" out there.
hmm, having used octave recently, i have to disagree with you. i grabbed the latest release off the site and only had to update my version of readline to get it to compile. also, i really only see octave being used in an educational or small-time commercial sense. it's great to learn on and give you a taste, but is no where near as efficient as matlab.

now the jaguar wasn't really 64-bit was it. 32-bit graphics and 32-bit sound... hence the rather strained 64-bit label.
