  1. Australian State Govt Security Stupidity on Stupid Censorship, Stupid Security · · Score: 1

In addition to the FUD disseminated but the Australian Federal Govt. regarding terrorism, and related threats, one of the most inconvenient security measures that has been re-introduced (it was a bit hit during the 2000 Olympics) is to remove ALL rubbish bins from city railway platforms. Presumably bombers are too smart to leave 'suspicious' luggage lying around and have taken to placing their nasty packages in the trash, I suppose it's old hat after the Hilton Hotel Bin Bombing , the result - city trains are filled with litter. Suppose it creates jobs - or something,.

Maybe, but getting the local postal service on-side can also be a good thing, why not try randomising the "Name" , "Surname" fields, but pick an address you know to be bogus. My favorite is a street in my hometown that only has houses on one side - a sandstone wall on the other, hence only (in this case) even numbers. Just make the postal address (Random ODD number) McRealStreet , State, PostCode, Country. All of a sudden the government owned and run postal service is flooded with garbage that they can't deliver. Cost's the spammer's "beneficiary" in paper/postage and may even piss off the postal service enough to take their own action

Instead if Perl kept on changing then you can't be sure and when you have literally thousands of little perl scripts everywhere this is intolerable.

You quack! if you don't want perl to change, don't fucking change it. Seriously if all your scripts are 5.00xx centric, fine. If newer features of the language don't shine your apples, fine. If you want to bitch about your scripts breaking when you roll perl forward, you might want to investigate "man ln" or maybe "configure --prefix=/head/up/arse/sysadmin".

Different states of CO2 have been discussed , one I believe is to sink liquid CO2 to such depths that keeping it pressurized is far less energy expensive than at the surface. This from google cache, (original from DOE reports 404: lotus notes document deleted!) Large Scale C02 Transportation and Deep Ocean Sequestration The title seems to indicate STORING ~= sequestration , as opposed to dispersing CO2 into the ocean.

Is this not being looked at upside down and back to front, surely it's simpler to make radical changes to U, to achieve better compatability with the I , and less griping about the G. Or even some more acronymns. Simple Human Interface Type should get things moving in the right direction.
