    Traffic is not going to be as bad as in a gas car. Going slower will conserve energy, being stopped wastes no power, etc.

    Still those estimates are usually pretty optimistic so it seems possible that a 200 mile drive would not be possible with only a rated 230 mile range.

    Good for you. A Civic is nothing like a model S. One day the electric car that fits your needs will exist, this is a stepping stone to that day. Only the cheapest Model S would need 3 charges to cover that distance, most orders are for a model that only need 1 recharge.

    Actually this is limited to 10 out of market apps, android has no such limitation. Also this is a pay for feature, again android does not charge for this.

    So you are wrong even with this new notion of "open".

    Because GAPPS which is not part of android, and is something google requires you to get a license for. It would be like if they bundled flash with the OS.

    Are you running the standard OS or third party one? Have you overclocked it?

    Even then I find such a claim hard to believe, on the latest iOS update for those things they really slow to a crawl.

    I never even tried the browser it came with, and have always had it clocked over 1Ghz.

    BullFuckingShit. Very few android phones have unknown sources blocked and all those can have apps installed in other ways.

    When I can do a git of the Windows phone code, then it is starting to get close.

    It does not matter what they do, without code reading apps can always do evil.

    I could submit a time zone calculator app that waits until 06/06/2012 and instead of opening properly shows goatse. With the limited testing apple does how would they ever know?

    It was only a matter of time. Since they only do blackbox testing, it should not have taken this long for an app to get approved that waits to do evil until after it is in the wild.

    Sadly they intend to replace the A-10 with the F-35. It will be a far more expensive way to kill tanks. As a bonus it will also burn more fuel to do the same job, while being more fragile.

    yes, purpose built-aircraft /are/ better than other aircraft at fulfilling their purpose

    Considering we are talking about the F-35 Jack of all Trades, Master of none, that is a pretty funny thing to mention. The thing was built to be everything to everyone. That is just a great way to make sure it fills no ones needs well and costs more than anyone wanted to pay.

    The F-35 contract was based on the fact that it looked nicer than the boeing aircraft. Boeing underestimated how much coolness factor goes into aircraft selection. They focused on things like meeting design goals.
