No, most goods are delivered by vehicles burning diesel. Most of those are quite a bit heaver than cars and do far more road damage. They should really bear most of this tax burden, but they do not as they have powerful lobbies. If the tax burden on them reflected their use, they would convert to rail and we would end up paying lower taxes and not much more for goods.
Cars put very little burden on road paving. Trucks are what damage roads. Tax them more and shipping will move to more efficient rail. Right now shippers are being subsidized by gas taxes providing them with low cost roads.

Sure the Customers may claim to want quality goods, but when they vote with their dollars they vote for cheap crap.
Then I never buy from that supplier again. Seems simple enough. I would also though support laws doing the same for use of child labor, environmental issues or labor abuse. We need to level the playing field so that US producers can compete. Otherwise we are just exporting our child labor, pollution and low wages.

This seems like a good idea, American companies should not have to compete with people who pirate software to lower their costs. No reason those companies can't switch to FREE software if this were to become law.

KVM has done live migration for ages now. Passing usb in kvm is quite easy, heck you can do it with qemu commands if you want.
