or maybe slashdot should just null posts with those characters.. It's the same reason it doesn't allow emoticons.. It would turn this site into a twatter shitfest..
That's not what he's saying at all. You're free to take whatever classes you want. What he's saying is that others don't owe you success if you choose a low demand skill area. They don't owe you your education finances either.
I do disagree with him in one area though: it's not neo-fascism. It's old fashioned communism. complete with the authoritarian bent.
I'ts not a choice if it's between indentured servitude and life on the street. Even the 'low skill' jobs require 'college' now, and that trend is increasing. Schools owning a piece of your salary is far worse than the government guaranteed loan system we have now.
I disagree. He fed a process controlled/flagged data in order to study the output. This is done quite often.
If they disagree with the methods, they should criticize those methods openly. Together, they could work to fix any problems with their process or his. Instead, they're going after him like disciplinarians who just had their hypocrisy exposed. Not really surprised.. Ideologues don't like being exposed.
No it doesn't. Criticism of soviet style socialist ideology and policies coming from so called 'liberals' is not the same thing as promoting white nationalism.
First it was the religious right. Now it's the progressive leftists. They babble on about race and sex, wanting to make policy based on it, all in the name of preventing just such systemic discrimination. It was also leftists who shut down the speech of those they disagree with. These proceedings are a perfect example of this. It's a perfect imitation of a soviet style kangaroo court.
Chinese national says china is completely blameless and the US has to fix its 'distribution policies'. Spoken like a true communist shill. How about the part where china vastly underpays its workers and treats them like slaves?
If we hadn't fought many of those wars, we'd've fought others instead, likely on our own soil, and we'd likely be speaking russian or mandarin today.
The real problem is that she is blaming the wrong people. The issue lies with those who designed windows update. It is unreasonable to expect third parties to fix design flaws for software they do not control. I have never seen such an error prone process for what should amount to copying files to directories and running a few scripts. It's worse than updating a 6 month stale gentoo installation.
..and yet you have failed to debunk his supposedly invalid argument. Instead, you focused on the ad hominem by responding with one of your own. Congrats. You are no better.
Which, conveniently, includes criticism of progressive positions.
And as a reminder, these are privately owned sites. They can’t reliably determine your age, sex, religious orientation, or party. You can say what you want but it can’t be verified. But if you post something that breaks their terms of service, you can be sanctioned or ejected.
It’s the internet. Just like the other sites, start your own competing service.
What about bakeries? Should they be able to refuse service to people they don't like too?
It's hilarious that progressives still think all their shit stirring about 'offense' hides such blatant hypocrisy. They've become what they claim to fight...perhaps they always were.
I don't think most critics want to shut down media. They want to be free to criticize it when it's obviously spouting bullshit.
Trudeau's being criticized because, whether he realizes it or not, he's implying the media shouldn't be criticized when broadcasting approved propaganda. The fact he spun it as 'cynicism' is a perfect example of why it is important to be able to criticize them. The soviets spun critics of their media as 'cynics' and 'dissenters' as well.
Criticism of institutions when they fuck up is critical to maintaining a free society. It does not matter if they're public, private, local, regional, foreign, or domestic.
No. Progressives are just anti anything trump and/or the republicans do, and vice versa. To say that republicans aren't still interested in tax breaks for the 1%, and that progressives are not still interested in more taxation of everyone, is an outright lie.
If you can find a way to shift the supply chains away from China have at it but you'll find that near impossible.
That's what the tariffs might help do.
Why? Because you think your country is owed something and shouldn't have to compete? Because you have a jingoistic view of China and it's people? You think 20% of the world's population should just sit on the sidelines economically because it's inconvenient for Americans or Europeans?
No. It's because I don't want to end up living in the same economic, social, and environmental squalor that 95% of chinese apparently think is a-ok.

lol..it's not a right when someone else has to provide it. You are being selfish.
Seriously, this reads like the front page of Pravda..

correct.
I prefer to not have records of every financial transaction stored in other peoples' databases...if at all possible.

No fucking thanks.
They're not in the car with me sharing the same risk. Until they do, i don't want them programming my car's driving habits.
maybe banning expression is part of the problem..
or where the public is manipulated by the big players into demanding that third party access be cut off?
The marketers get their hands on the units after the engineers.. "If it doesn't pop it doesnt sell!"
Fucking stupid.
lactation?
Being anti free speech and anti liberty isn't exactly open minded.

So is mainstream media.
Seriously, this stuff is economics 101. Do not make the mistake of thinking that tariffs will result in the outcome you favor.
I haven't. Yet, somehow you that china dictating more and more of the US economy is in my interests?
I've actually been to China and clearly you haven't. Your idea of what China is actually like has no relationship to reality.
Which small, relatively affluent part of that huge country did you visit?
Offensive speech is.
