Ah, I usually don't read the comments in dupes and hence have not seen this term. I have not been reading slashdot daily and thought this was new news.

It took me a while to figure out that dupe meant duplication OR the repeat posting of an article.

I was wondering how the article was duping people & what was so obviously untrue in the article.

I have read Slashdot for a few years, sometimes religiously, but I somehow missed the abr. of dupe.

What if the bloggers were journalists?

Does this then allow them to report on secrets and protect their sources regardless?

If the sources had divulged secrets they were bound to keep by NDA/s, then have they not breached a legal contract?

If people can divulge trade secrets and hide behind journalists, then what's the point of having any NDAs?

If journalists seek out trade secrets protected by NDAs, should they be counted as accomplices of a civil crime?

There must be some common sense in fighting for freedom.

I RTA and could not find how they dated the ice to ~2^15 years. I am always skeptical of dating methods as they can vary so much and oftentimes depend on dates that are dubious to begin with.

Nevertheless, for the Carnobacterium pleistocenium to survive freezing is definitely interesting for medicine. Prolonging the life of donated organs could benefit from the research of this bacterium.
