I have some experience with this.
Basically, if he's so clueless that he wastes a lot of your time (and thus generates negative productivity) then it's a problem.
I had one manager like this. He was so clueless and insecure that he needed my help for every single one of his proposals and presentations...also he wanted me to be present at every single meeting he was at, regardless of whether it was relevant to me. Basically, I was doing both my job AND his job.
If he's not generating negative productivity and he does a reasonably decent job of buffering and keeping you out of endless meetings (so you can get real work done) then he's probably okay.
I used to work at Hitachi America so I know about TRON/iTRON/microITRON/etc.
It's this weird, baroque API that's non-POSIX and not standard C library compatible. Kind of like an extreme example of Not-Invented-Here syndrome. For some reason Hitachi Japan thought everyone wanted it without realizing that nobody outside Japan cared about it.
We kinda tried to humor them..."sure, we will distribute microITRON if customers ask for it".
These systems are not new. They've been around for a long time. They're called rebreathers. Here's a link to a whole page full of links to rebreather manufacturers and homemade rebreathers: http://www.metacut.com/rebreathers/reb_pages.htm
From reading the article, apparently it's not the complaints from the readers, nor the complaints from the advertisers which prompted him to pull the articles. The only reason he pulled the article is the DDOS attacks. He still doesn't seem to understand what he did wrong.
This was mentioned on the Yahoo Finance SCOX boards - take a look at the trading volume for SCOX today:
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=SCOX&t=1d
It's 3:31 EST and 725 shares traded so far today.
725. That's it.
If you look at the trading volume for the past 5 days, the volume is probably 10k to 30k shares per day:
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=SCOX&t=5d
but today...725.
So evidently, somebody is too busy today to buy and sell SCO shares.
Why'd they give him an award for that?
It's a virtual copy of the Hiller XH-44 invented in 1944...that's sixty years ago.

Someone needs to get a clue.
SCO must have hired Zippy the Pinhead to oversee their legal arguments, as they seem to be mostly nonsequiters.
Cop: You have cocaine in your house. Show us where it is.
You: I don't have cocaine in my house
Cop: AHA! You're WITHHOLDING EVIDENCE!
We've had clones for millions of years.
They're called...identical twins.
Identical twins don't have the same personality.
Clones don't have the same personality either.
Surprise!
Cheap solid-state gyroscopes have been out for a loong time.

Tokin CG-16Ds were about $20 apiece, but have been discontinued. They also make a few other series of gyros (CG-L33, CG-L34, etc), but I don't know the price on those. The Tokin gyros are really popular on R/C helicopter gyros that sell for under $100.

Apple is unlikely to switch to an ARM-compatible processor.
The ARM is designed as a low-power processor. Currently, it only goes up to 400 Mhz, and it's a single-issue (one instruction per clock) design.
The PowerPC can issue multiple instructions per clock and are available at gigahertz frequencies...they're much faster than this.
I'm glad you've done the principled thing, but I still wonder: who will keep Fuat Kircaali from doing stupid things without you guys there?

This limit only applies to hard drive media, so the title should be "Hard drive media has a data transfer limit" not "data transfer has a limit".
