I agree. Am I missing something? Who needs local web scripting?
I set the security levels for the Local, Trusted and Restricted Zones all at High. Only the Internet Zone is ever less than High. Seems odd, but who needs that other crap?
Too bad MS did not make those the default settings. In fact, the latest patches seem to set Custom instead of Default, for what that's worth. Then there's all that bad stuff under the "Advanced" tab instead of "Security." What a mess.
Why? Of the terms on the block I knew, it seemed reasonable. Much easier to understand than a bunch of textual blather. With the diagram I can see that everything goes through Python & C bindings, even if I don't know what Jabber is.

Or did you have a specific gripe with the placement of wxWindows on the diagram or something?
Question
The new Macintosh operating system OS X is based on a UNIX kernel. Why don't you port Evolution to Mac OS X?
Answer
A real OS X port of Evolution would require a substantial amount of work, because true OS X applications are tied to the graphical interface layers of the OS ("Quartz" and "Aqua,") via the Apple APIs ("Carbon" or "Cocoa").
Evolution will compile and run on Mac OS X if you have an X server and the GNU developer's toolchain installed. This has been done and is reported to work quite well. However, Ximian cannot offer support for this configuration at this time.

So far, no Bayesian client software is easy enough to use for most folks, in Windope. Good plugins may be right around the corner, though.
Perl for Win32 is free from ActiveState.

One does not disconnect a desktop from the network. Usually. That was the point, methinks.
you're right, ok.
vaporware by old people (me too, and i'm writing some right now, as you can see by the fact that i am posting here instead)
Ximian doesn't run on windows or mac.
