I am not sharing your ideas. Computer access could be very cheap and but give much more effective help to developing countries. I remember an example like: Establishing a news room (or a house) in a village for instance. People living in the village occasionally stop by the house and get news about their lands, agriculture, country etc. One more example perhaps more effective one is :
establishing a stock-exchange like system and villagers come and see the prices and sell their animals/crops accordingly. these things do not necessarily require a high level of modern technology. what you need is a single computer and a telephone line and electricity. even without electricity you can do ut by batteries or solar systems.
what i mean in brief for information technology access we cannot wait for the poor countries to come to the level of industrialized countries becouse they may never come to that level but they may well benefit from the opportunies of information technology.
