I didn't think The Spirits Within was too bad, though it was pretty dissapointing. I'm suprised it lost so much, I went to see it right after release. Regardless of what critics said, it seems like other FF fans would do the same.
Watch Resident Evil if you want to see just how bad a game-to-movie translation can be.
Chrono Trigger was the greatest 2D RPG of all time IMO, the second best RPG ever next to Final Fantasy 7. I believe "Chrono Break" or something is going to be the next game in the series, perhaps Enix will work on it too, or, since Squaresoft is on board for making GBA games, they could make a true sequel on Gameboy Advance... Just thinking of the possiblities makes me excited. ^_^
I used to carry mine just to play games too.. It was interesting when I first got it, I thought of it was a mini computer. But after a few weeks a found it dull and useless. I haven't used it since last time the battery ran out, it's too much of a hassle to reinstall everything.
I don't think the point of the story is to show that MS knows the truth and throw it in their faces, but to display this contradiction of other things they've said publicly. I thought I just read a story the other day, of MS saying it's cheaper to run Win than Linux, this shows that that's all tripe.

2.6 does sound old. Windows reached 3.0 over 5 years ago! I think this tells us something about how outdated and primitive Linux is.
