I used a Handspring Visor Neo for a year and a half, but unfortunately it wasn't as durable as I'd hoped it'd be. So, I traded up to a Tungsten E purchased from target for $199, and have been nothing but happy. not a huge screen (320X320) but a very clear display, and a built-in rechargeable battery. Plug it in for 30 minutes and its fully charged, on average.
SD expansion slot, syncs with MacOS, Palm Reader is free and reads.DOC files as well as the Palm Digital Media store's books. Can't really go wrong with this device. Just make sure you get a hard case for it...it comes with a crappy little flipcover that barely protects anything...
