There is no such thing as copy protected. You can run RCA cables out from a decent component cd player, playstation, set top DvD player, and then record onto your hard drive using an audio editing software like Pro Tools, or my favorite, Cool Edit Pro 2.0. From there you can edit your own tracks, boost the levels, run 1/3 Octave Parametric equalizers, and rip them back onto a new CD. Yeah.... it may sound like a pain, but it's better than having problems with certain hardware vendors when the disc doesn't work.
