  1. Re:Jock? on YouTube For High-School Jocks · · Score: 0

well would that be due to their nerdiness, or because they were predispositioned with a social/personality disorder? i dunno, it seems that social circumstances lead to nerdiness more than the other way around, at least it was this way with me. whereas jocks seem to be influenced more by the sport itself, or their parents who've made sports a priority for them since childhood. perhaps because sports have been infused into education for longer than electronics/computers have, that's a major reason why "jocks" have become so accepted? if the internet was invented in the 1800's and sports were just introduced a couple decades ago, perhaps even as a "club", would they be considered the "nerds"? and the "nerds" the "jocks"? i actually think that makes sense.

they have to win on the field, so they have to win in the hallways, i guess. alot of jocks become so "jocky" that their coaches disqualify them from attending a special game/event, or sometimes just kick them off the team. I've never heard of a nerd being too nerdy for their boss/teacher/etc.

  5. wait a minute.... on PlayStation 2 Celebrates Seven Years in the US · · Score: 0

ALOT more goes into gameplay and graphics today than 10 years ago. 50% increase in cost, for a game with graphics 500% more evolved and gameplay sometimes 500% more complex? the time consumed programming and designing these things I'm sure is where the extra money is going. Games have almost always had cutscenes. Remember "sorry mario but our princess is in another castle"? Even That's a cutscene, in a sense. Cutscenes are often essential, especially in story driven RPG's. They're fun, they add dimension to the game, and they give the gamer a chance to relax and understand the relevence between level 1 and level 2.

ok yeah, i see, i'm downloading at 500kps, but i'm uploading at around 5kps. and considering that hundreds of people are leeching this file, it's apparent that comcast is limiting my upload speed. at first i was thinking "give comcast a break", but now i'm thinking "this really needs to stop.... by going faster".
