Orion and Direct are both pretty terrible, costwise. So Direct is a little better. In *theory*. But there are little incentives for the government to be efficient when they build these things.
What congress should consider is Space X. Space X is fully private and is so much more efficient than NASA its crazy. And right now if we don't change anything we will use Russian Soyaz rockets to bring our people to the ISS, wasting taxpayers dollars in a foreign country.
Even though Space X is 1 for 4, they already won the re-supply contract (pending some litigation) and their capsule is designed to carry people to space. We should cancel government funded efforts and instead contract it all out.
Well he told me 5 Watt when I met him at a cocktail party. Maybe I could give you his email and you can debate physics with him. But he did have some serious antennae.
I guess the only thing that was cool was that it was done in 1983! And from Missoula Montana.

December 1983. WA1JXN/7 (now W7GJ), Lance Collister became the first amateur radio operator in the world to communicate with an astronaut in space. Lance communicated with W5LFL, Dr. Owen Garriot while the Space Shuttle Columbia, STS-9, orbited the earth 250 nautical miles above the western Pacific. The antenna, a home brew "moon bounce" two-meter array of 12 yagis.
There was a guy who not only used his 5 Watt HAM radio to communicate directly with the Space Station, but he also bounced radio waves off of the moon to communicate with someone in the other hemisphere! I don't know his exact setup, but he was into some serious HAM.
Its amazing how great the spectrum they use is...
Oh and passing the HAM test is probably doable without any studying. Its multiple choice and pretty damn easy if you can take those kinds of tests. I took it so I could operate an amateur TV transmitter from a model airplane. But thats another story...
Not more of this low-carb propaganda bullshit. Calories make you fat, regardless of whether they come from fat, sugars, or starches.
This is so short sighted and misleading it hurts me to read it. Wow. Is it really that simple? No. Here is one example that demonstrates why that statement is absurd.
Lets take 2 people. They both are going to consume 1,000 calories in the morning. Now, since calories make you fat regardless of where they come from, lets say that person A consumes 1,000 calories of pure high-fructose corn syrup for breakfast. Yummy! And a calorie is a calorie- right? What a good balanced meal! So that roughly translates into 250 grams of carbohydrates, so you put 250 grams of corn-syrup in a bowl and eat it.
Now lets say Person B eats 1,000 calories of a balanced meal with a focus on more good fat and less carbohydrates. lets say 50 grams of Fish Oil (450 calories) and then some yogurt(also high in fat), berries(good vitamins in those, same amount of calories), and some whole grains(for fiber) for a good balanced meal to bring up the calories to 1000.
Immediately after breakfast person A has a massive spike in insulin production in their body to deal with the immense amounts of sugar coursing through their veins. Carbs drive insulin production. Now the immense amounts of sugar bind with the insulin and either go to work in a cell or it is stored as fat. And all this happens FAST. THAT IS THE PROBLEM WITH CARBS. They are so rapidly absorbed that pretty soon, you need to EAT AGAIN. So person A is hungry again in a couple hours and has to eat more.
Person B on the other hand, feels full and nutritious because they ate fat which takes a much longer time to break down. So 5 or even 6 hours later they DON'T FEEL HUNGRY. THEY DONT HAVE TO EAT MORE.
The "a calorie is a calorie" argument overlooks so many things about diet such as hunger and nutrition. Is a 500 calorie Big-Mac equivalent to a 500 calorie salad with Goji berry super-fruit? NO. One has many more anti-oxidants, nutrients and essential vitmains.
What they should make is an unmanned water tanker sort of airplane. It seems a little too risky that we are putting pilots lives in danger any way. Unmanned versions could go longer, require less upkeep (no stopping for pee breaks and such) and could maybe even fly at night.
Then forest fires would be fun to put out! Like playing a game of Supreme Commander.
You have to use their devices. From the FCC app:
committed to: 1) provide nation-wide broadband service with no reocurring costs to all users who purchase and register a M2Z device.
So they will make most their money off of hardware. I guess its still might be worth it, but I bet they will charge a premium for each device because their network would be so large.
Free turns out to be not so free.
Our bodies evolved to eat the proteins and fats of animals, vegitables that we scavenged, and occasional fruits. I say occasional because fruits are seasonal and all animals compete for them so they were rather hard to find.
Grain was never part of the fuel that our bodies were designed to run on. 10,000 years is hardly long enough for a selection event to occur, and so grains are quite artificial in the human diet.
Sugar, partially hydrogenated oils, and other refined foods that hit the market this century just add to the problems. They fluctuate your bodies glucose level widely and are stored as fat if not utilized.
While fad diets are going to fade in and out, pillars of evolutionary data point to what you should be eating- what your body was designed to eat.
Animals. Vegies. Occasionally some carbohydeates in the form of fruits.

Now almost have as much super computer power as one of Nvidia's Tesla D870 GPU desktop super computers. Go Iran!
So what about all of the donations coming into Ron Pauls website? Spam as well? If so, I want some of that spam in my inbox!!
