Wow, Those are really cool but for 45 dollars I think I will pass. I thought I saw a site off of /. a while back that had another guy doing this same thing but his maps were downloadable.

Yes it is all the same but this system most likely runs in the ISM band at 2.4Ghz. This band is like the 900 MHZ band that a lot of your cordless phones run in. For these units they typicall will have a power limit of about 100Mw. Very low power. Much less then a cell phone.
