I don't know how SMS relates to the communications protocol that the phone uses to interface with the tower (such as GSM, CDMA, etc.) But I have noticed that many have assumed that NexTel uses CDMA. They in fact use a protocol developed by Motorola called iDEN.
I always see this argument that "MS can't compete against a free product". This is so untrue. You have to factor in benefits of each. All MS has to prove that the gains of buying their product outstrips the cost difference.
I hate seeing this argument so much because it give the inference that Open Source products are only better because they are free. If you think that is what Open Source is about, you missed the point.
The strength of Open Source is it allows more eyes to scrutinize and more ideas into the camp of software development.
Make sure that we recognize freedom for both sides. MS does have the freedom to purchase a forum for promoting their product. Anyway, at many tradeshows, the general rule I have seen is that the exhibitor's must keep the entrance a clear passage way. You don't want to cling all over everyone that walks in the door.
The idea isn't to silence MS, but rather to prove or not prove a better product.
The great thing about/. is that you get to review the reviewer. In this instance, I find that the reviewer actually missed some of the items that came with Myst III. There is in fact an installation booklet included in the CD case. It is my belief that his "review" is a hoax and is probably only based on hearsay. I think/. owes Myst III and UbiSoft an honest review of the game.

Based on the fact that he is either lying about his experience or too stupid to find the installation booklet!
I was surprised a little to see Malaysia there. When I checked the actually report I found only a good mention:
"Malaysia is reliant on computerized systems. Awareness in Malaysia of the Y2K problem is high in all sectors of the economy and among senior leaders of the national government. The Government has established a Y2K steering committee to oversee public and private sector progress.
Malaysia appears to be prepared to deal with the Y2K problem. It appears that there is a low risk of potential Y2K disruptions in the banking and finance, health, telecommunications, transportation, utilities and electric power sectors."
I was recently in M'sia, and they seem to be ready, especially with airlines like Singapore and MAS. I would not be the least concerned about travel there.
