Why? The survey doesnt reflect that Photoshop is only using *ONE* of the mac CPUs at any time during their tests, so it's quite understandable why it lags behind.
** However, If Adobe/3rdparties got their finger out and actually wrote their filters to take advantage of multi-cpu systems then you might be suprised at how well a dual-g4 does against an x86 system. Do the math, it shouldn't be too difficult.

Yes, and you'd be disappointed in the intel system should i pitch it against a 4, 8, etc, processor other box...
