A friend has one of these planes. Deploying the 'chute destroys the airframe, a complete writeoff. The 'chute suspension straps are embedded in the composite skin and deployment basically delaminates the outer layer(s) of composite. My guess is the engine and instruments would have considerable salvage value. With salvage and reduced liability, insurance is probably less.
