You can also use the Pioneer DVR-103 or 104. They both work with iDVD. I bought a DVR-104 and it works with iDVD. Also, iDVD is part of the standard installation on some Macs that don't ship with a Superdrive, such as my Quicksilver G4 733. Although Apple doesn't officially support this practice of installing your own Superdrive later, it does work and it's a cheaper alternative to buying a new Mac with an internal Superdrive.
