  1. Re:That depends upon the severity of mistakes. on Are More Choices Really Better? · · Score: 1

I think that's exactly why Microsoft put those two large "Shutdown" and "Lock" icons before the "avanced options" menu icon.

I think the author is trying to prove a valid point but using the wrong example. Besides, critizing the way Vista works based on a single screenshot (the guy doesn't even know what the icons do, he's just guessing !) sounds a bit lame to me.

Thanks, it indeed looked quite suspicious, but I still felt for it... oh well, shame on me :-/

What difference does it make ? You know you are going bankrupt anyway because people aren't interested in CD's anymore.

Who cares about CD's when you only listen to music on your computer, portable MP3 player, or cellphone ? You can blame it on piracy all you want, but it's not going to change a thing; if you don't adapt to the market you have no chance to survive.

It happened to other markets before, think about photo labs & photo films vendors, they are extincting as well because people are only interested into digicams now. The same is happening with music, CD is an outdated format and thinking you could still make a living out of selling CDs in 10+ years is just foolish - even if piracy were to stop.

Isn't that same idea already applied to the good ol' F14 Tomcat ? Or is it something completely different ?

  5. Re:Turn it to your advantage on This Call May Be Monitored ... · · Score: 1

Mod parent +1 insightful, I work in a call center and everybody here couldn't care less about these kind of "threats". Your mileage may vary, the bigger the company, the less they care about a single customer...

And also, the recording is blank when customers are put on hold, so that would really be a waste of time anyway :)

  6. Automated mail ? on Nintendo Threatens Suicidegirls Over IP Use · · Score: 1

It pretty much looks like the e-mail was sent by some kind of mass-mailing software, that would look for Z*lda and M*troid references on certain websites and automatically send e-mails to webmasters. I can't believe someone would actually take a look at that page and think "hey, this is tarnishing Nintendo's reputation !"
