Show me HDTV over IP that's at 1.5 mbps and I'll show you crappy HDTV. If AT&T thinks they can compete in the IPTV market at 1.5 or even 6 mbps, they're mistaken.
But google stil does that one thing really well. You can go to google.com and still see a sparse page and perform a search. These extras are just that-- extras. Some are useful (froogle, local...), and some are gimmicks (google by phone). If you don't want to use them, you don't have to. If the search quality was slipping, then you'd have a point-- but it isn't, and you don't.

Well for those of us on broadband, one meg isn't much, but for a modem user, that's almost 5 minutes. What if the preview was two megs? I'd rather download an additional 8, as opposed to 10.

"The beta version of Windows OneCare Live is free, though the final service will be a paid subscription."
So now they make money off their own bugs. Genius!

From what I've seen out of qwest here in the west, verizon is a better company. Lesser of two evils I suppose.
Because there are still sites that require it to display properly, or at all.

I don't think that's how it works.. from what I understand, it simply removes bits... ie:
I = one bit
----A 128k stream----
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
----A 96k stream-----
IIII IIII IIII IIII IIII
It simply removes some of the bits, not any specific freqency of the high/low/mid.
and it looks to be an impressive streaming method
