Is it just me, or does HP just seem way too insecure after Fiorina's departure? Hell, even Microsoft probably didn't do this sort of investigation when the (albeit, only a small part) source code for Windows 2000 was leaked. Then again, we don't know who leaked that code, or whether microsoft had the leaker's families investigated in this sort of manner. I'm sure that if Hewlett or Packard were still alive today, they wouldn't let crap like this go down. This is the easy way out. Corporate stalking? Hell yes.
so... does this mean that games will be smarter, or will games be able to beat themselves more often? Does this really help with the future, or what?
No, I didn't RTFA, since I'm tired from my computer-repairing job...
I'm surprised that the standard hasn't changed much in the past few years. I mean, AC'97 was a stepping stone for standardizing audio on PC's, but why wasn't the standard updated to bring us better audio on motherboards sooner? It IS 2004 after all. I see 1997 standards as being ancient. I'm rather surprised that the AC'97 standard has lasted so long -- longer than VESA (ISA/PCI slot)!!
Well...anyway... it's about time!
