Yes that is exactly the same as with mine. The drive is known to be a very quiet drive when accessing data, and this has been my experience as well. The strange part is the random loud clicking that occurs at random, whether you've recently accessed data or not.
It's been months on mine as well with no problems.

The IBM TravelStar drive in my notebook makes constant irritating noises, even when it's not doing anything.
