  1. PDA 115kbps dialup with 3G using LG 5350 phone! on Life on the Road with 3G · · Score: 1
What is great about 3G is 115kbps dialup access. Get a cable adapter (the ComCube) from Gomadic that will connect your PDA (and laptop) to your LG 5350 3G Sprint phone via serial port. This will get you internet access on the road at 115kbps. The catch is that currently there is only one 3G Sprint phone that has a serial port available for you PDA and laptop. Other 3G phones only have USB ports which will not work with your PDA. You can also use the same cable for your laptop, no special software needed and your connected at 115kbps, a must for the business road warrior!

Using the Gomadic cable you can still dial up with Sprint PCS (Verizon, and other services) phones and get 19.2kbps which isn't much but still gives your PDA or Laptop web access using your existing phone. Still usefull for checking email.
