Judges are under pressure to have an extremely vast world-knowledge, since nearly anything can become the subject of litigation. Though I don't think knowing what a website is constitutes vast world-knowledge.
I wonder when some study will look at cellphone related pedestrian-induced accidents. Have you ever been driving (while not talking on the phone) and had to concentrate extra hard to avoid hitting an oblivious pedestrian who was lost in some cellphone trance?
