How long before we have more active Grey IC - Tar Babies (similar to today's honey pots), Tar Pits, Blaster - and ultimately, Black IC - seeking out the source of the intrusion and in turn, destroying the origin of attack?
Is that name serious? "Tar Babies"? I ask because it is also a racial slur intended as a play on the dark skin of black people. An older slur, but nonetheless still used (my redneck former boss used it frequently.)
Call me a p.c. asshole if you want, but if you grew up in the south you'd understand...
I'm sure this use of the name has nothing to do with that, but yikes. That's a horrible choice.
Imagine a house, built without a design as brick layers and guys who lay piples making it up as they go along.
I'm guessing you've never worked in construction (particularly residential)...
Seriously, many of the problems begin with the architects. A designer can only produce good work if they understand the field/medium in which they work. A lot of these guys are baffled when something they drew in in CAD turns out to be infeasable on-site.
I feel bad for the programmer whose job closely resembles that of an architect or tradesperson, because programming itself resembles the processes of neither.
I'm sure grsecurity is nice, but today it exists as a set of patches to the vanilla kernel only. The only distros that supports it is Adamantix and Gentoo (part of Hardened Gentoo). Other widely used distros like RedHat, SuSE and Mandrake does not.
Actually, Mandrake ships a kernel rpm with grsecurity.
Mandrake security
Just look for the kernel-secure-* rpms.
Debian provides the grsecurity patches for their kernels, as well.
Evolution supports maildir (as well as MH). Just right-click the folder and change it's properties. It's nice that way, if you prefer to have mixed types of mailboxes...

I probably shouldn't ask but...
Where do people put the coins in?
Hey, "just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not after you".
