If the person who sells my data happens to be in another country then I would not have the choice to go after them myself and even though they most likely would lose their job their home country may not have any laws against what they did with my information so they could basically get away with it.
Actually, it wouldn't matter. You would go after the company that you gave the information to in the first place. It would be their responsibility to ensure that your information is protected.
if they have been told OOo=new MS Office, could they really tell the difference?
The trouble is, people just want to get their work done. Most of them don't care what they use as long as its familiar enough. Of course, users may be ignorant about computers, but they're not stupid -- they know OOo != MSOffice:-)
Its when people have complex tables that this becomes a really big problem. You won't believe the number of forms charities have to fill up!
I've tried to do this several times, in small offices (less than 20 users), and the problem has always been the lack of some custom application.
Also, a few of the OOo users had to revert back to MS Office 'coz of compatibility issues -- they regularly receive files from other organisations which refuse to open correctly in OOo.
Again, what's the deal with Microsoft and huge buttons and icons? Are they trying to cater to the bad eyesight but too cool to wear glasses crowd?

This means that big icons and buttons are faster. I sometimes really don't understand why Power Users want small icons -- its actually faster to work with bigger icons!!
Yahoo Messenger has additional functions besides messaging.. you can access Yahoo features like calender, email alerts, stock quotes, weather and many more... it can be quite handy if you use these features:-)

IIRC it doesn't work. Instead try adding this to your make.conf:
PORTAGE_NICENESS="19"
